π About Compress Image to 100KB
Many job portals, exam forms and government websites reject photos that are larger than a set size, such as 100 KB. This tool reduces your image until it fits under the size you pick and shows you the final size.
It works by saving the picture as JPG and lowering the quality step by step. If that is not enough, it also reduces the dimensions slightly. The output is always a JPG file.
How to use it:
- Add your photo or scan.
- Choose the target size (100 KB is selected by default).
- Press Process files. Download the result and check the final size shown.
Privacy: Processing happens in your browser, so your files are not uploaded to a Pink PDF Plus server.
β Compress Image to 100KB β Frequently Asked Questions
Will the final file be exactly 100 KB?
It will be at or below the target and usually close to it. If the original is already smaller than the target, you may get a file smaller than the target.
Does it reduce the pixel size too?
Only when needed. The tool first lowers quality. If the file is still too large it scales the image down in small steps.
What about PNG images with transparency?
The output is JPG, which does not support transparency, so transparent areas become white.
Can I use it for passport photos or signatures?
Yes, many people use it for form photos and signatures. Check the portal's required dimensions as well, and use Resize Image if you need exact pixels.
