πŸ“˜ About PDF to Text

Copy the text out of a PDF without selecting it page by page. This tool reads the text layer of your PDF and saves everything into a plain .txt file you can open anywhere.

It works for PDFs that contain real, selectable text (exported documents, e-books, invoices). Scanned PDFs that are only pictures of pages have no text layer, and this tool cannot read them because OCR is not included.

How to use it:

  1. Add your PDF.
  2. Choose whether to separate pages with a line.
  3. Press Process files and download the TXT file.

Privacy: Processing happens in your browser, so your files are not uploaded to a Pink PDF Plus server.

❓ PDF to Text β€” Frequently Asked Questions

Why did I get no text?

Your PDF is probably a scan or a photo of a document. It has no text layer, so there is nothing to extract without OCR (text recognition), which this tool does not do.

Is the layout preserved?

Only the text and line breaks. Tables, columns and images are not reproduced, so complex layouts may need tidying.

Does it support Arabic and other languages?

It extracts whatever text is stored in the PDF. Right-to-left text may appear in a different order depending on how the PDF was made.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The text is extracted in your browser.
